Toeval is the Dutch word for coincidence. This is an elementary part of the process, because the earrings are made of pewter. The material, which has fallen into oblivion, is considered the little sister of silver and is characterized by its luster and durability. Each model is individually handmade by Elena Kayser in her studio in Sankt Ingbert and is characterized by its uniqueness.



Material: Basic material is pewter (Kayseerzinn alloy with antimony and bismuth, which makes it last longer), gold-plated with 24ct.

Ear stud is made of gold plated brass

Elena Kayser founded Studio Ena while studying product design in Saarbrücken, Germany. Her designs are characterized by an interest in working beyond aesthetics and seeing design as possibility. Chance plays a crucial role in the design of the jewelry. This and the collaboration with her family's pewter foundry are the starting point for the Toeval earrings.
